Daniel Clarke Smith grew up in a Navy family and lived on both coasts and Hawaii. He earned his M.D. at the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1979 and has practiced primary care medicine ever since. He started writing in elementary school but the challenge of work and raising a family took precedence until 2007. He retired from practice in 2012.
He has independently published two thrillers: Win or Go Home and Winner Takes All. After an eight year hiatus he's at it again, and he wants to plunge into the traditional publishing route: professional editor, query agents, and find a publishing home.
Part of the blog will focus on his journey, part on the new novel: The Chronokine, a sci-fi work, and part on whatever random topics he chooses.
