Finding a publisherIt all sounds so easy. Fiction or non-fiction? Pick a genre. Write a book of between 75-100 thousand words. Revise. Revise. Revise. Hire an editor. Not just to correct typos and grammar, but one who will critique the book and make substantive suggestions on taking it to a level where an agent might want to sell it to a publisher. Query agents until you hook one and the agent shops the book to an appropriate publisher. Sign a contract, receive an advance on sales and watch the profits roll in. Repeat every twelve months.
